I am a Legal Director specialising in property and affairs for the vulnerable. My client base mainly consists of young brain injured individuals ranging from very young children to adults. Every client has a different journey and I have a genuine interest in their lives and supporting clients to navigate their way through what can sometimes feel like a “mental capacity labyrinth”.
I have a wide range of experience in dealing with high value complex settlements. I work closely with litigation colleagues when matters are mid-litigation and supervise matters through the transition from litigation to ongoing Deputyship which can be for a lifetime, for many clients.
I support with the management of a growing Court of Protection team across three location in Plymouth, Southampton and Bristol, making decisions as Deputy for over 200 clients. I also provide speaker training for third party referrers and organisations including Case Management companies, Estate Research and the Law Society.
I am also an active member and part of the working group committee for The Professional Deputies Forum which is a collaborative professional network of Professional Deputies who share ideas and work collectively with Court of Protection stakeholders including the Court of Protection, Ministry of Justice, the Senior Courts Costs Office and the Public Guardian. My projects have included organising the annual conferences and other large events for the wider Court of Protection community.
