Enable Law has been working with the UK Sepsis Trust to raise awareness of sepsis – a life-threatening condition which claims 48,000 lives in the UK each year. That’s 5 people every hour, 120 people every day – more than bowel, breast and prostate cancer combined.
Early treatment is critical, so it’s important to arm yourself with potentially life-saving information.
We’re encouraging you to take 5 minutes out of your day to ‘Get Sepsis Savvy’ and help the UK Sepsis Trust save lives.
All you need to do is watch a short video, play a quick game, and then shout about the fact you’re now #SepsisSavvy on social media.

What is sepsis?
Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that arises when the body’s response to an infection injures its own tissues and organs.
It occurs when the body’s immune system – which normally helps to protect us and fight infection – goes into overdrive. It can lead to shock, multiple organ failure and sometimes death, especially if not recognised early and treated promptly.
